Nicholas Lawrence presents Warped and Split
Everyone knows the Sawing a Lady in Half illusion. Now you can perform that same impossible moment close-up, just inches from your spectator's eyes, with three normal cards and a gimmick hiding in plain sight.
Warped and Split is a complete evolution of Nicholas Lawrence's original pocket illusion BLADE, and the upgrade is significant in every direction that matters. The previous method required cover and asked the audience to trust that the card went into the middle. That problem is completely gone. With Warped and Split, the spectator actually sees the card slide in and out. It is ridiculously fair, and there is nothing to hide at any point.
The two signature effects are as clean as the name suggests.
Warped bends and distorts a card in an impossible visual way while it is in full view the entire time. The visual logic of it is completely satisfying: you see the card, you see what happens to it, and you have absolutely no explanation for why it looks the way it does. The handling is natural, justified, and completely free of anything suspicious.
Split is the close-up Sawing a Lady in Half. A card is visibly cut and separated, right in front of the spectator, as directly and as cleanly as any illusion you have ever seen. And then it is whole again.
Both effects are beginner-friendly and immediately examinable at the finish. No switches, no funny business, and no fragile materials that you have to worry about damaging in your pocket or your performance. The gimmick and card switch invisibly during performance, allowing a seamless transition from the gimmick to a completely examinable card that happens flawlessly and naturally every single time.
The gimmick also customises easily to work with any standard deck or card selection, and it works with a borrowed deck, so there are no restrictions on when or where you can pull it out and perform.
